The Board of Selectmen of the town of Bristol requests Bids from qualified contractors for bridge construction. The crossing is over Pemaquid River in the village of Bristol Mills, within the Town of Bristol on Upper Round Pond Road:
Sealed Bids addressed to Town of Bristol and endorsed on the wrapper “Bids for the Keystone Bridge in the Town of BRISrisTOLol” will be received from contractors at Town of Bristol, PO Box 339 or 1268 Bristol Road, Bristol, Maine 04539 until 4PM (prevailing time) on March 13th, 2019. The bids will be opened at 7:00 P.M. at the Town of Bristol Select Board meeting on March 13th, 2019 and at that time and place publicly opened and read.
Description: Replacement of the Keystone Bridge in Bristol, Maine.
Location: In Lincoln County, project is located over Pemaquid River in the Town of Bristol, Maine, on Upper Round Pond Road.
Outline of Work: The work to be done under this contract consists of the replacement of the existing culvert with a steel plate arch, installation of concrete footings, headwall, and wingwalls, replacing existing guardrails with timber rails, minor roadway and approach work and other incidental work.

One copy of each Bid is required and must be made upon blank forms provided by the Town of Bristol. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount payable to Treasurer, Town of Bristol as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder.
