Students from Mary Hannas second grade class at Great Salt Bay Community School learn about Native American food at the FARMS Kitchen at the Central Lincoln County YMCA.
On Thursday, Oct. 25, Mary Hanna’s second grade class from Great Salt Bay Community School in Damariscotta went to the FARMS Kitchen at the Central Lincoln County YMCA. They were the third class to visit and learn about Native American food from Ms. Kleinkopf and Mrs. Miller. They used ingredients that Native Americans in this area might have used, like cornmeal, rice, blueberries, and pumpkin.
