From JVS Principal Lynsey Ward
What a wacky weather pattern! Of course, next week is supposed to be beautiful, calm, sunny weather. We all hope that you have a lovely vacation week. We are looking forward to returning and having consistent school where we can get back into an academic rhythm with well-rested students. Stay safe!

Congratulations to Jacob Campbell and Kevin Crossley on completing two rounds of geography. This means they can identify 60 percent or more of the countries of the world and all of the states in the United States, as well as many of the rivers and main bodies of water. Well done, boys! They are the only students from grades five through eight to achieve this standing.
Next is all the states, with capitals. Good luck, Jacob and Kevin!
JVS PTA
The annual Family Heart-to-Heart Dance was a big success. Many thanks to all that came out on such a cold winter night! Thanks to Mr. Bill and Mr. Rowley for being DJs for the evening. We gathered many donated food items for the Jefferson Area Community Food Pantry. The PTA would like to thank all volunteers who brought in items for the concessions; they were greatly appreciated. Also, thanks to the eighth-grade helpers for the evening. They helped with set up, concessions, and clean-up.
The ninth annual Jefferson Jubilee will take place on Friday, May 5.
