People age 19 or older who are planning to go to college but don’t know where to start can benefit from one-on-one counseling, mentoring, and support through Lincoln County College Connection, or TLC3.
TLC3 provides support from start to finish with free academic courses that prepare one for college placement tests and set individuals up for success in the college classroom. The program also offers free career counseling and decision-making with a personal college coach to help individuals figure out what he or she wants to do and offer free college visits and tours. Finally, TLC3 provides follow-up and support to ensure continued success one enrolls in college.
For those who are worried they don’t have the time or money to attend college, TLC3 offers flexible schedules and locations that work. Both morning and evening courses and learning center times are offered in Damariscotta, Boothbay Harbor, Waldoboro, and Wiscasset with ongoing personalized advising and support. TLC3 will also walk participants through obtaining funds they need to attend college. A college coach will help one fill out financial aid forms and assist with every step of the college admissions process.
