Old-fashioned ice cutting
The old-fashioned ice cutting will take place at the Thompson Ice House on Sunday, Feb. 17 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. All ages are welcome. There will be raffle tickets for an eighth-grade boat.
Congratulations to spelling finalists
The SBS spelling bee finalists are as follows:
Seventh and eighth grade: Bonnie Bailey, champion; Willis Colby IV, runner-up
Fifth and sixth grade: Nikolai Brank, champion; Branden Smith, runner-up
The county spelling bee is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Bristol Consolidated School.
FARMS at the Y
Grades one and two visited the FARMS program at the YMCA recently. They were able to prepare, cook, and eat healthy foods under the supervision of FARMS representative Leslie Wicks as well as our very own Carrie Pendleton and Sara Flewelling. The students and adults had a great time.
