Those 19 or older planning to go to college have the opportunity to benefit from one-on-one counseling, mentoring, and support to help them successfully move on to college and earn a degree and/or decide on a career that is a perfect fit – with free help from the Lincoln County College Connection, aka TLC3.
TLC3 gives one support from start to finish with free academic courses that prepare one for college placement tests (Accuplacers) and set one up for success in the college classroom, free career counseling and decision-making with a personal college coach to help one figure out what one wants to do, free college visits and tours, and, finally, follow-up and support to ensure continued success once enrolled in college.
TLC3 offers flexible schedules and locations that work. Both morning and evening courses and learning center times are offered in Damariscotta, Waldoboro, Wiscasset, and Boothbay Harbor, with ongoing personalized advising and support. A college coach will help participants fill out financial aid forms and assist with every step of the college admissions process.
Go to clc.maineadulted.org and/or call 563-2811 for more information and to register, or stop by the Central Lincoln County Adult Education office, at 767 Main St. in Damariscotta. Students are currently being registered for the fall 2018 semester. Classes begin the week of Sept. 17.
