Two Medomak Valley cross country athletes won the Medomak River Festival 5K on Saturday in Waldoboro. Joshua Anderson, 18, ran to a first place finish in 18:57, beating out Brandon Waltz by 14 seconds. Gwen Moiles won the women’s division in 22:44, beating out Panther teammate Megan Wyllie by 24 seconds. A field of 31 braved high heat and humidity in the late morning race, sponsored by the Medomak Valley Land Trust.
