Medomak Valley softball coach Glenn Barbour was named KVAC Coach of the Year. The Lady Panthers finished their KVAC season with a 12-4 record. Barbour has been coaching varsity softball at Medomak for five years. In the past three years, Medomak has accumulated a 41-14 record. The Panthers won the East B championship in 2008 and 2009.
Barbour tied for the honor last season, then lost in a re-vote to the Waterville coach, who he voted for. This year, “Ironically, I voted for the Erskine coach, who we’re going up against” in the East Class B finals, he said.
