The Bears successfully defended their Waldoboro Little League baseball title on Saturday in the rain with a 17-6 four inning mercy ruling win over the Tigers. The Tigers took a 4-0 lead in the 1st inning on seven walks and a RBI single to Noah Beck and RBI error to Robbie Flint.
The Bears got three runs back in the bottom of the 1st, then scored six in the 2nd to take the lead for good.
Micah Williamson hit a solo homerun and triple, Tristan Bisset and Owen Gilbert two singles each, Michael Austin a double and Riley McCullet and Nicholas DePatsy a single each.
Hitting for the Tigers were Beck with two, and Oliver Brown, Robbie Flint and Duncan McLeod with one each.
Relief pitcher Nicholas DePatsy collected the win (4K, 3B, 3H).
