8th seed Maranacook upset top seed Boothbay boys basketball team 57-54 Monday night in a West Class C quarterfinal game in the Augusta. The Black Bears rallied from 12 down late in the third quarter in the upset win.
Scoring for Boothbay were John Hepburn 20, Evan Hepburn 13, Abel Bryer 13, Jacob Leonard 5 and Julian Aponte 3. Scoring for Maranacook were Cameron Brochu 21, Kyle Wilbur 14, Jason Brooks 10, Kent Mohlar 6, Levi Emery 6 and Nate Clark 2.
