Boothbay Region boys ran to victory in the Mt. Valley cross country championships held Sat. Oct. 14 at UMA. Boothbay girls placed third.
Haley Abbott won the girls race in 21:16, followed by 8. Glory Belthen, 23:47; 17. Faith Blethen, 25:04; 47. Sada Smith, 31:51; and 48. Delly Clarkson, 33:43.
Blake Erhard won the boys race in 18:11. Rounding out the scoring five were 3. Kyle Ames, 18:37, 11. Mason Erhard, 19:58; 14. Bayly Gaugham, 20:04; and 17. Fox Elder, 20:17.
Lily Yeaton was the top Wiscasset finisher, taking 32nd in 27:10. Gage Varian was the top Wiscasset boys finisher, placing eighth in 19:40.
