Wiscasset girls’ cross country runners Morgan Dodge and Heidi Pinkham, and the entire Boothbay boys’ cross country team qualified for the State Class C cross country championships on Sat., Oct. 30 at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast.
Boothbay boys placed fourth at the West Class C Regionals in Cumberland Oct. 23. Chase Brown finished second to West C champion Matt McClintick (16:13) in 16:34.
Also running for the Seahawks were: 9. Nate Schwehm, 17:32; 26. Tom Brown, 18:35; 29. Alex Owen, 18:44; 51. Stephen Barter, 20:01; 55. Dan Murray, 20:11, 57. Cameron White, 20:15.
Wiscasset boys placed 14th. NYA won the West title with 61 points, followed by Freeport 85, Waynflete 91, Boothbay 108, Monmouth 121, Telstar 162, Waldorf 167, Lisbon 206, Hall-Dale 228, Winthrop 238, UKV 357, St. Dom’s 360, Traip 362, and Wiscasset 383.
Running for Wiscasset were: 72. Ryan Urquhart, 21:30; 84. Kyle Shute, 23:47; 86. Matthew Mills, 23:55; 89. Thomas Beutler, 24:31; and 91. Joe Chapman, 24:33.
