Boothbay girls basketball team soared over Madison 55-23 in a South Class C semi-final match-up on Feb. 21 at the Augusta Civic Center. With the win, the Lady Seahawks advance to the Regional championship game against North Yarmouth Academy on Sat., Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. in Augusta.
Boothbay scored the first 20 points of the game in the lopsided contest. The Lady Seahawks led 20-1 at the quarter, 35-7 at the half and 51-13 at the end of three.
The Blethen sisters registered double doubles in the win. Glory netted 20 points (10R) and Faith 11 points (11R). Chloe Arsenault added 7, Jaelyn Crocker 6, Ashley Abbott 5, Madison Faulkingham 2, Haley Abbott 2 and Kylie Brown 2. Madison was led by Emily Edgerly 8 and Kathryn Worthen 7.
