Top seed Boothbay girls basketball team defeated 8th seed St. Doms 32-26 in a South Class C quarter-final match-up at the Augusta Civic Center on Feb. 19. The Lady Seahawks played a slowed down game, scoring just three points in the second quarter and four in the third. Fans kept waiting for Boothbay to shift their offense into overdrive, but it never happened in the low scoring game. The Seahawks came to life in the fourth quarter with 12 points, to hold off the Saints and advance.
Boothbay was led by Chloe Arsenault with 11 points, and Faith Blethen 10. St. Doms was led by Hannah Kenney with 10.
Boothbay takes on 13th seed Madison, who they beat 60-24 in their MVC season, on Thurs., Feb. 21 at 4 p.m.
