Boothbay Wins LA 8th Grade Tournament

Boothbay defeated Lincoln 41-29 on March 4 to win the LA Invitational 8th grade girls’ basketball tournament. Boothbay also won the 3-point shoot-out competition with Abby McLellan, Brianna Goud and Brooke Alley. McLellan was named the tournament MVP. Also selected to the All-tourney team were Boothbay’s Hannah Brewer, Lincoln’s Jen Genthner and Danielle Pierce, Medomak’s Sammie Griffin, and Wiscasset’s Hanna Foye.

Boothbay 59 – Medomak 25

Boothbay topped Medomak 59-25 in game one of the tournament on March 3. Scoring for the future Seahawks were McLellan 16, Morgan Crocker 12, Brewer 10, Goud 8, Alley 6, Kacey Cromwell 4, Sara Durgan 2 and Lexi Morse 2. Scoring for Medomak were Griffin 9, Brooke Benedict 4, Hailie Haskins 4, Alexa Genthner 4, Aiden Skov 2 and Amanda Young 2.Lincoln 40 – Wiscasset 17Thirteen players scored in Lincoln’s win over Wiscasset in game two of the tournament. Scoring for the future Eagles were Genthner 8, Abby Farrin 6, Bayley Pendleton 4, Rachel Hughes 4, and Camille Lazzari, Taylor Oliver, Pierce, Eliza D’Anieri, Danielle Pinkham, Megan Krah, Leslie Sanefur, Colleen Trayers, and Avery Bond 2 each. Scoring for Wiscasset were Alecia Faulkingham 7, Hanna Foye 4, Kayla Gordon 3, Miranda McIntire 2 and Rachel Berry 1.Medomak 39 – Wiscasset 20

Medomak beat Wiscasset 39-20 in the consolation game on Thursday. Scoring for Medomak were Taylor Mason 10, Haskins 8, Griffin 6, Hannah Marks 5, Skov 4, Bendict 4 and Genthner 2.
