A six-week basketball clinic in Bristol wrapped up Nov. 3 with an intersquad scrimmage. A special highlight of the evening for the young players was donning Lincoln Academy jerseys.
“I would like to thank Bristol principal Jennifer Ribeiro for allowing me to offer this opportunity to the Bristol students,” said clinic coordinator Tim Feltis. “I would also like to thank Daniel Wall, Greg Holmes, Danielle Feltis and Chad McKernan for their help during the six-week clinic. A special thanks to Chad and Erin from the Samoset Restaurant for the donation of Gatorades for all the kids. Thanks to all the parents who also donated a small fee to help toward the purchase of a second game clock for the Bristol gym.”
The first five weeks of the clinic focused on teaching the kids basketball fundamentals including shooting, dribbling, passing and defense. On the sixth and final week, the kids put on team basketball jerseys and scrimmaged.
“I hope everyone enjoyed this opportunity and hope to be able to provide more in the future,” Feltis said.
