Three local wrestlers won their weight divisions at the Pine Tree Wrestling League’s East tournament, held at Camden Hills High School on Saturday.
CLAW 155 pound wrestler Drew Bryant, and Medomak Middle School’s 117 pound Zach Rideout and 170 pound Dylan Look won Regional titles.
Medomak’s Travis Reed (145) took second Cyril Miller (138) third, and Zack James (190) and Danielle Lawson (210) fourth.
CLAW wrestler Zach Zaccadelli (75) placed fourth. All eight wrestlers qualified for the Pine Tree League Wrestling championships to be held in Belfast on March 21.
Belfast (Troy Howard) won with 180 points, followed by Ellsworth 121.5, Hermon 109, Brewer 102, HAL 95, Medomak 83, Bucksport 68.5, Camden 54, Nokomis 42, CLAW 36 and independent 19.
Mark Zaccadelli (CLAW 75) lost a 22-6 decision to Hayden Craig (Buc), beat Josh Bernaquer (El) by 13-1 major decision, and beat James Archer (HAL) by 20-8 major decision to advance to the consolation finals. Zaccadelli met up with Craig again and once again proved to be unpinnable, losing by 17-5 decision for fourth place.
Todd Anderson (CLAW 96) pinned Alex Peterson (Her) in 1:26, was pinned by Coleman Powers (HAL) in 3:45 and eliminated by Jordan Lord (Buc) by 6-3 decision.
Kevin Donlin (MMS-103) was pinned by Calan Bragg (HAL) in 28 seconds, beat Hunter King (El) by pin in 2:25, and lost a 9-2 decision to Matt Stewart (Buc) in the consolation semifinals.
Zach Rideout (MMS-117) pinned Tristan Brooks (Nok) in 19 seconds, pinned Zack Anderson (Bel) in 36 seconds, and then beat Jared Gilbert (HAL) by 14-4 decision to win the 117 pound East title.
Zach Gilbert (CLAW 131) was pinned by Riley Duggan (C) in 22 seconds, and by Travis Winters (HAL) in 22 seconds.
Cyril Miller (MMS 138) defaulted to Colt Muir (HAL) in the first round, pinned Blake Hay (CLAW) in 2:27 to advance to the consolation finals where he pinned Muir (HAL) in 2:33 for third place. Hay pinned Thomas Hall (El) in 27 seconds and was pinned by Tyler Baker (Bel) in 57 seconds.
Travis Reed (MMS 145) drew a bye to the finals, where he was pinned by Sam Lounder (EL) in 54 seconds for second place.
Drew Bryant (CLAW 155) pinned Heaven Dow (MMS) in 57 seconds, beat Dustin Willey (Her) by 4-0 decision to advance to the championship round. Bryant beat Wyatt Roberts (Bel) by a 6-1 decision in the finals to take first place. Dow pinned Allan Paradise (Buc) in 17 seconds, and was eliminated by Dean Donavan (El) by 22-3 decision.
Dylan Look (MMS 170) pinned Jake Poors (El) in 1:24, pinned Victor Irwin (Br) in 1:08, and pinned Alex Urquhard (Her) in 3:56 in the finals to take first place.
Zack James (MMS 190) drew a bye, was pinned by Robert Hall (EL) in 9 seconds, drew a bye to the consolation finals, where he was pinned by Daniel Wiss (Bel) in 13 seconds to take fourth place.
Danielle Lawson (MMS 210) drew a bye, was pinned by Nick Littlefield (Bel) in 30 seconds, drew a bye to the consolation finals, where she was pinned by Patrick Kidder (EL) in 21 seconds to take fourth place.
