Wiscasset competed in their first track and field meet of the season at Maranacook April 28. Morgan Dodge won the 400 in 1:06 and was 2nd in the 200 in 30.1. Brian Campbell won the 400 in 55.1 and 200 in 24.6. Joe Chapman won the long jump (18’7″) and was 5th in the 200 in 26.1. The girls’ 4×100 relay team won in 1:00.7, and the boys’ 4×100 relay won in 47.6.
Winthrop boys won with 93, Madison 87, Hall-Dale 74, Monmouth 71 and Wiscasset 58. Madison won the girls’ meet with 90, Monmouth 81.83, Wiscasset 71.83, Winthrop 71 and Hall-Dale 50.33.
Michaela Trudeau was 2nd in the racewalk in 11:39. Samantha Sutter took 2nd in the discus (62’4″) and shot (30′). Alyssa Urquhart was 3rd in the racewalk in 14:08, 3rd in the 3200 in 19:01 and 6th in the 1600 in 8:09.
Kelsey Hammond was 3rd in the shot (23’9″). Becca Slack was 3rd in the high jump (4’2″). Madeline Wehrle was 4th in the long jump (12’2″). Haley Grant was 4th in the 200 in 32.2. Crysta Brown was 5th in the 1600 in 6:52. Kasey Cromwell placed 5th in the 100 in 15.7 and 6th in the discus (50’3″).
Jason Berry took 2nd in the racewalk in 9:08, Kyle Shute 3rd in 9:46, and Logan Grover 4th in 10:54. Ryan Hanley took 3rd in the 100 hurdles in 51 seconds. Cormac Walsh was 3rd in the discus (90’9″). Alex Cromwell was 4th in the shot (33’8″) and javelin (106’1″). John Rines was 6th in the javelin (98’1″).
