Cape Elizabeth defeated Lincoln Academy girls basketball 61-47 in a West Class B semi-final game at the Cross Center in Portland on Feb. 19. Lincoln scored the first basket, but that would be their only lead of the ball game.
Scoring for Lincoln were Leslie Sandefur 11, Avae Traina 9, Brie Wajer 7, Taylor Oliver 5, Olivia York 3, Danielle Pinkham 3, Chloe Hallowell 2, Alyx York 2, Brianna Genthner 2, Samantha Burke 2, and Kaitlyn Feltis 1. Scoring for Cape were Hannah Sawyer 28 (7-3’s new tournament record), Montana Braxton 10, Carter Harvey 9, Madeline Bowe 5, Ashley Tinsman 5, Erin O’Rourke 2, and Katherine Breed 2.
