The Lincoln County Assembly of God Church in Damariscotta held an Around the World 5K road race walk/run on Saturday and raised about $1000 to support Jan Wood’s mission to Uganda. Wood, a member of the church, was an obstetric nurse at Miles Memorial Hospital for 31 years. Now retired, Wood is planning her seventh mission trip to Africa this winter.
