The CLC YMCA gymnastics teams held an exhibition on June 24, showcasing their award winning season. Twenty-eight girls, age 4 to 14, participated, including the Y’s Level 2 to 6 teams.
“We had a stellar season, with many State and Regional winners,” coach Janice Cormier-Hay said.
The gymnastics team has a busy summer planned. They will go to a team training camp at UNH in July, and a gymnastics camp in Danvers, Mass. “We will continue with our summer workouts to improve skills and learn new and exciting skills, Courmier-Hay said. The Y will also have guest coaches arriving in August.
Gymnastics camp
Registration for the gymnastics camp at the CLC YMCA are now being accepted for the session that starts July 7. There are two levels, Recreational camp for ages 5 to 12, and Firecracker Camp for ages 4 to 7.
Enrollment is limited. To register, stop by the CLC YMCA, or call them at 563-YMCA.
