CLC YMCA 5th & 6th Grade Basketball Tournament

CLC YMCA girls and Wiscasset Grade 6 boys won the CLC YMCA 5th & 6th grade basketball tournament over the weekend.

Camden 24 -CLC Y 20Camden clipped CLC YMCA in the first game of the YMCA 5th and 6th grade girls’ and boys’ basketball tournament Friday in Damariscotta. Tyler Stevens led CLC with 6 points, Cole Leeman added 5, Austin York 4, Kobe Lincoln 3, and Brandon Kelsey 2.

Wiscasset 5th 31 – Medomak 5th 22Daren Wood scored 14 of his game high 16 points in the second half to lift Wiscasset Grade 5 travel team to a nine point win over Medomak. Also scoring for Wiscasset were JD Souza 9, Reny Segovia 2, Mike Stewart 2, and Josh Cowing 1.

Scoring for Medomak were Nicholas DePatsy 8, Lonnie Adolphson 6, Zach Starr 4, and Ollie Brown 4.

Wiscasset 6th 35 – Georges Valley 9Travis Padillan netted 12, Christian Miller 10, and Cainin Griffin 9, to lead Wiscasset 6th graders over Georges Valley. Also scoring for Wiscasset were Cole Wentworth 2, Jacob Dodge 1 and Matthew Craig 1.

Scoring for Georges Valley were Dylan Gamage 3, Logan Grubbws 3, RJ Hall 2, and Travis Frey 1.Medomak 6th 34 – Boothbay 31Seven Medomak players scored in their win over Boothbay. Travis Creamer scored 11, Jamie Temple 10, Micah Williamson 4, Hunter Wincapaw 3, Sam Shattuck 2, Jared Mank 2, and Colton Spear 2.

Scoring for Boothbay were Evan Hepburn 15, John Hepburn 11, and Joseph DiMauro 4.

Medomak 5th 26 – CLC Y 22Medomak 5th graders topped CLC Y in overtime. Scoring for Medomak were DePatsy 8, Starr 7, Vail 5, Sheldon Lavway 2, and Riley McAuliffe 2. Scoring for CLC were Stevens 8, Greg Anderson 7, Kobe Lincoln 5, and Marshall Dodge 2.Camden 29 – Wiscasset 5th 9Camden eliminated Wiscasset 5th graders from the tournament. Scoring for Wiscasset were Wood 4, Andrew LaCavera 2, and Stewart, Reny Segovia, and Cowing, 1 each.Wiscasset 6th 34 – Medomak 6th 26Wiscasset 6th beat Medomak 6th to advance to the championship game. Jamie Temple scored 8, Brady Leeman 8, Travis Creamer 4, Micah Williamson 3, Noah Beck 2, and Colton Spear 1 from Medomak.

Scoring for Wiscasset were Miller 12, Padilla 7, Griffin 7, Matthew Craig 6, and Jacob Allen 2.Boothbay 29 – Georges Valley 15J. Hepburn scored 15 and E. Hepburn 14 to lead Boothbay over Georges Valley. DiMauro chipped in 6 and Gorey 2. Scoring for the Bucs were Travis Ivey 6, Dylan Gamage 6, Logan Grubbs 2, and Kyle Waters 1.Wiscasset 42 – Camden 36Wiscasset 6th defeated Camden by six in the championship game. CLC Y 19 – Medomak Blue 14Leslie Sandefur netted 11 points to lead CLC girls to a five-point win over Medomak Gold. Danielle Pinkham added 6 and Taylor Oliver 2. Scoring for Medomak were Hannah Marks 9, Maggie Cox 2, Delaney Overlock 2, and Lexi Genthner 1.Boothbay 25 – Medomak Gold 4Boothbay Swoosh topped Medomak Gold 25-14 Friday night. Scoring for Boothbay were Nicole Rice 8, Hannah Morley 6, Elizabeth Bailey 6, Morgan Crocker 3, and Sara Durgan 2.

Medomak Blue defeated Medomak Gold for third place.CLC Y 18 – Boothbay 14The CLC YMCA girls defeated Boothbay 18-14 in the championship game. Scoring for CLC Y were Sandefur 8, Pinkham 4, Danielle Plourde 2, Alex York 2, and Taylor Oliver 2.

Scoring for Boothbay were Morgan Crocker 7, Sara Durgan 2, Hannah Marley 2, Ava Traina 2, and Jasmine Page 1.
