Morgan Crocker won three events and Sophia Thayer two at the Mt. Valley Conference championships on May 29 at Cony High School in Augusta. Crocker won the 100 hurdles in 17.29, the 300 hurdles in 50.9 and the triple jump (34’5.5″) and placed second in the long jump (15′.5″). Thayer won both distance races, the 1600 in 5:43 and the 3200 in 12.40.
Angie Perkins placed in four events: 3. 300 hurdles, 52.85; 5. 200, 29.94; 5. high jump, 4’6″; and tied 7. high jump, 4’8″ with teammate Lisa Pawlowski. Nell Anthony took second in the shotput (28’2.5″), third in javelin (82’2″), and fourth in discus (75’9″). Hannah Brewer was fourth in the triple jump (29’1.5″). Sinead Miller took fifth in the 300 hurdles in 53.46. Hannah Morley placed fifth in the 800 in 2:43 and 1600 in 5:54. Samantha Carter was seventh in the 1600 racewalk in 10:32.
Boothbay girls placed fourth in two relays, the 4×100 in 56.65 with Miller, Sara Durgan, Perkins and Taylor Walby; and the 4×400 in 4:46 with Thayer, Walby, Drugan and Miller.
Two Wiscasset girls placed at the league meet. Kristen Cavanaugh was runner-up in the high jump (4’8″). Gabby Chapman took fourth in the long jump (14’4.5″).
Lisbon won the girls meet with 121.5 points, followed by Boothbay 111, Carrabec 60, Dirigo 59, St. Doms 54, Winthrop 52, Maranacook 46, Mt. Valley 40, Monmouth 35.5, Hall-Dale 31, Telstar 16, Wiscasset 12 and Spruce Mountain 5.

Nate Austin placed third in the shot-put for Wiscasset (40’6.25″).
Lisbon boys won the MVC championship with 177 points, followed by Madison 82, Boothbay 60, Spruce Mountain 52, Maranacook 48, Telstar 48, Hall-Dale 39, Mt. Valley 38, Oak Hill 33, Carrabec 29, Winthrop 21, Dirigo 10, Wiscasset 6, and Mt. Abram 3.
Seven Boothbay boys placed. Bennett Scully took second in the 800 in 2:10 and third in the 1600 in 4:55. Robert Campbell took second in the 3200 in 10:45 and Matt Burnham seventh in 11:19. Shane Johnson was third in the discus (112′). Abel Bryer placed third in the javelin (140’11”) and fourth in the discus (109’11”). Joey Paolillo was third in the 3200 in 10:54 and fifth in the 1600 in 5:00. Kyle Alamo took fifth in the racewalk in 8:32.
The Seahawks placed in all three relays, taking third in the 4×800 in 9:12 with Richard Hasch, Scully, Campbell, and Paolillo; sixth in the 4×100 in 48.55 with Dima Gosselin, Xavier Downing, Nick Kilgus, and Alamo; and seventh in the 4×400 in 4:00 with Howie Carter, Hasch, Paolillo and Scully.
