Patrick Fallon (11K,2H,4B) pitched four and a third shut out innings for the win, and Ryan O’Neil collected the save (1R,2H,1B).
Devin Scherer (3 1/3I, 6K,4B,7H) took the loss for Jefferson, and Sawyer Pinkham (1 2/3I,3K,1B,2H,2R) and Jake Rideout (2H,1B,1R) pitched in relief.
South Berwick scored all the runs they needed in the first inning with four runs. Hunter Newsome hit a three run double in the rally. Ryan O’Neil doubled and scored on a Jake Lebel single in the second. CJ Davis hit a solo homerun in the third, and Lebel a solo blast in the fourth. Lebel hit a two run homerun in the fifth. Burt Dow drove in two runs on an error in the top of the sixth.
Dirigo spoiled the shutout in the bottom of the sixth. Rideout hit a double and scored on a Luke Peabody single.
Hitting for Dirigo were Rideout with a double and single, and Peabody and Scherer a single each. Hitting for South Berwick were Lebel with two homeruns and two singles, O’Neil with two doubles and a single, Newsome a double, and Jeremy Jacquest and Parker Williams a single each.
Pinkham hit a solo homerun in the top of the sixth inning to break the scoreless deadlock. Dirigo held Ellsworth in the bottom of the sixth to win.
Hitting for Dirigo were Pinkham with a homerun and single, and Dameron Rodrique and Caleb Barden a single each.
