Dirigo Little League 10&11 All-stars lost to Augusta 12-2 Saturday morning in the District 5 championship game in Auburn. With the win, Augusta moves on to the state tournament in Waldoboro.
Dirigo worked their way through the losers bracket after losing their District 5 opening game by one run to Auburn on July 17, to take on Augusta for the District title.
The scores were: Dirigo 9 – Elliott 3; Dirigo 10 – Auburn 5; and, Augusta 12 – Dirigo 2.
