Dirigo 2 – Elliot 0
Ryan Creamer collected the win in four innings of work for Dirigo 11&12 Little League all-stars in the District 5 tournament on July 9.
After five scoreless innings, Dirigo got their bats going in the sixth for two runs. Rabideau singled, Turcotte walked and both scored on back to back singles from Dunn and H-Belanger.
Hitting for Dirigo were Dunn with a double and single, Lucas Grotton a triple and Rabideau and Sage Hapsgood-Belanger a single each. Hitting for Elliot were Cox and Pomerleau with a single each.
Auburn-Suburban 6 – Dirigo 0
Dirigo lost their second game of the District 2 playoffs 6-0 to Auburn- Suburban. Ben Cassidy collected the win, and Dom Denico took the loss.
Sage H-Belanger had the only hits for Dirigo with two singles. Hitting for Auburn were Giles Paradis with a double and single, Ricky Cote and Cam Winslow a double each, and Austin Brown, Bobby Tremaine and Jesel Stubbs a single each.
Dirigo 7 – Elliot 6
Dirigo 11&12 Little League all-stars jumped out to a big lead, then held off Elliot to win 7-6 Saturday in Lewiston. Ryan Creamer collected the win. Nate Howard and Austin Dunn pitched in relief.
Lucas Grotton hit a solo homerun, and Sage H-Belanger a three run triple and a single to lead Dirigo at the plate.
Dirigo 1 – South Lewiston 0
Dirigo won by forfeit over South Lewiston after South Lewiston failed to field enough players. With the forfeit win, Dirigo advances to the semi-finals with Hall-Dale.
Hall-Dale 6 – Dirigo 5
Hall-Dale eliminated Dirigo All-stars from the District 5 playoffs with a 6-5 come from behind win. Dirigo led 4-1 in the fourth inning, before Hall-Dale plated three in the fifth and one in the sixth to win.
Nick Howard, Dom Denico, Caden Turcotte and Austin Dunn pitched in the loss. Alec Byron collected the win.
Hitting for Dirigo were Dom Bryant with a solo homerun, and Turcotte, Kaai Rabideau, Howard, Ryan Creamer and Lucas Grotton a single each.
