Lincoln Academy’s baseball team defeated Wells 4-3 Thursday in a West Class B quarter-final match-up in Waldoboro. Sawyer Pinkham collected the win in six and a third innings, and AJ Oliver the save (2K). Lincoln jumped out to a 4-0 lead, off a RBI double to Wally Morris in the first; walk to Devin Scherer and three wild pitches in the third and Brady Leeman walk and RBI error to Pinkham in the fourth. Wells came back with three runs in the sixth off a homerun and three singles.
