Eagle Undergrads Third At KV-YMCA

Lincoln Academy (CLC) Undergrad boys’ basketball team competed in the Kennebec Valley YMCA tournament. On March 12, the Eagles beat Cony and Hall-Dale to advance to the second round of play against Erskine. The college style format saw teams play 16-minute halves.

Lincoln 54 – Cony 25Lincoln crushed Cony in their first game of the tournament, scoring the first 17 points of the game. Scoring for the Eagles were Dylan Leavitt 11, Ryley Leavitt 9, Jalen Lincoln 8, Stephen Quinlan 6, Caleb Farrin 5, AJ Oliver 5, Bo McLain 4, Nic Phinney 2 and Seward Matel 2. Cony was led by Bonentant with 7.Lincoln 56 – Hall-Dale 25Lincoln out scored Hall-Dale 25-4 in the second half to win by a landslide in game two. Scoring for the Eagles were R. Leavitt 12, Oliver 9, Phinney 9, Quinlan 8, D. Leavitt 8, Matel 6, Quinlan 5, McLain 4, and Lincoln 3. Hall-Dale was led by Harry Cheung 5, Austin Bechard 4 and Derek Vigue 4. Lincoln 47 – Erskine 41The LA Undergrad Eagles defeated Erskine 47-41 to advance to the KV-YMCA semifinals against Gardiner. Scoring for Lincoln were Lincoln 13, R. Leavitt 12, Quinlan 8, Farrin 6, McLain 4, Oliver 2 and Matel 2.
