Lincoln Academy’s 4×800 relay team placed sixth at the State Class B indoor track and field championships, held at Bates College on Presidents’ Day. The Eagles finished in 8:54, off their record setting pace at the KVACs.
Running a leg were Julian Frink, Alex Organ, Michael McCormick, and Nick Smelcer.
Organ placed fifth in the 400 in 54.11. Frink ran to a top 10 performance in the 400 in 58.54. Smelcer placed eighth in the 800 in 2:10.
The Lady Eagles 4×800 relay placed 10th in 11:30 with Hannah Nevens, Julia Ribeiro, Allie Gorrill, and Maggie Nevens.
Medomak Valley’s Nicole Nicholls placed fourth in the high jump (5′).
Waterville boys and girls won team titles.
