Lincoln Academy girls soccer team defeated Medomak 1-0 on Sept. 16 in the Panthers Homecoming in Waldoboro. The Lady Panthers controlled the midfield and dominated the game, but were unable to score on 16 shots on net. Kortney McKenna made 10 stops in net for the Eagles.
After 75 scoreless minutes, Tatum Hancock broke free to score the game winner for the Eagles
, on her first shot of the ball game. The Panthers had kept the Eagles hot scorer neutralized for much of the game thanks to tough defense from Jane Vannoy, who sat in Hancock’s back pocket all game.
