Lincoln Academy baseball sank the Mariners 11-9 in eight innings in KVAC baseball action in Thomaston on May 8. Relief pitcher Tiger Cumming collected the win. Ben Ripley took the loss for Oceanside.
The Eagles jumped out to a 5-0 lead, before the Mariners rallied for three runs in the third and six in the fourth to take the lead. Lincoln plated four runs in the fifth to knot the score and force and extra inning. Aidan McCullen singled and scored on a Sullivan Fink singled in the top of the eight. Fink came home on a Nathan True single.
Lincoln was led at the plate by Nick Prior with three singles, Quincy Perry and True a double and single each and Cumming two singles. Oceanside was led by Ripley with a double and two singles and Zach Cody two singles.
