Lincoln Academy boys basketball team netted 24 points in the fourth quarter, led by 10 points from Brady Leeman, to beat Mt.View 56-38 Monday night in Newcastle. Leeman scored a career high 19 points, including sinking five three-pointers, and going four for four at the foul line in the fourth quarter.
The Eagles led from the opening basket. Seward Matel scored the first two hoops and Leeman added a three to give Lincoln a 7-0 lead. Lincoln led 12-7 at the quarter. The Mustangs pulled within two in the second, but the Eagles held on to lead 21-15 at the half.
Jack Simpson hit a three and Nathan Wren scored to pull the Mustangs within one at the beginning of the third quarter. Lincoln maintained a narrow lead throughout the period, and led 32-30 at the end of three.
Leeman opened the fourth quarter with a big three, Matel crashed the glass for two, and Leeman hit another three to give the Eagles a 10 point lead. With three minutes to play, the Eagles spread the floor and Mt.View was forced to foul. Lincoln sank nine of 10 foul shots in a two minute span to increase their lead.

Oliver 6 (7R,3A), Brett Cowan 2, Travis Creamer 1, and Cole Leeman 1 (6R). Scoring for Maranacook were Simpson 14, Nathan Wren 13 (8R), Mike Hustus 4, Brody Gibbs 4, Emmett Snell 3, and Tyler Ripley.
