Eleven new players have joined the Lincoln Academy girls’ lacrosse team this spring, joining 16 returning players to swell the Lady Eagle ranks to 27.
“We have a strong contingent returning,” returning coach Amanda Armstrong said. Captains on this year’s squad are Lilly Davis, Katie Riley, and Tess Fields.
“The girls had a phenomenal Saturday at the Sagadahoc Invitational hosted by Morse,” Armstrong said.
Lincoln beat Edward Little, 11-4. Scoring were Katie Riley and Tess Fields with three goals each, Sally Gardiner-Smith and Kaely Lewis with two each, and Isabel Carlson one. The Lady Eagles tied Mt. Valley, 8-8 in their second game. Tess Fields scored three goals, Kaely Lewis two, and Sally Gardiner-Smith, Ashley Mason, and Isabel Carlson one each. Bayley Pendleton had a fantastic game in goal.
Seniors on this year’s team include Gardiner-Smith, Riley, Lexi Bailey, Lilly Davis, Olivia Dwyer, Aiden Fraser, and Sabrina Skinner; juniors Fields, Mason, Pendleton, Natalie Brown, Andrea Call, Sophia Carbonneau, Logan Molt, Anna Quinlan and Mackenzie Beaudoin; sophomores Carlson, Lewis Emily Brown, Lucia Devilla, Poppy Dong, Lorin Gildersleeve, Bailey Hartley, Lewis, Catherine Roy, and Maggie Weiss; and freshmen Emily Huber, and Zoey Sewall.
