Ellsworth defeated a young Medomak team 8-3 on July 16 to eliminate them from the State Little League 9&10 All-star tournment in Scarborough.
With the majority of teams made up of mostly 10 year olds, and Medomak with four eight year olds, five nine year olds and two ten year olds, Medomak was undoubtable the youngest team in the tournament.
Kytana Williamson went the distance in the loss for Medomak (5K,5B,5H), who had one bad inning in the loss.
Medomak took the lead in the top of the first inning when Skylar Hills walked and scored on a passed ball.
Ellsworth batted around in the third for eight runs to take the lead for good.
Medomak plated two runs in the fourth, Haley Puchalski and Williamson walked and were driven home on a hit from Audri Jackson.
Olivia Pelkey hit a double and Jackson a single for Medomak. Hitting singles for Ellsworth (no last names given) were Natalie J., Jayden S., Sophia L. Brielle and Kelsey L.
