Erskine Academy defeated Lincoln Academy 56-49 in a KVAC Class A boys basketball match-up on Jan.29 in South China. Lincoln trailed by one with 1:10 to play, then missed a couple of shots and were forced to foul. Soule sank five of six foul shots in the final period to seal the win for Erskine.
Lincoln, who played without their big man Joel Hatch (out sick), was led by Nate Simmons with 10 points and Nate Masters 9. Erskine was led by Soule 21 and Jewett 17.
