Medomak Valley senior Gavin Felch won the 110 high hurdles at a track and field meet in Brunswick on May 1. Felch won the event in 16.74 and placed second in the 300 hurdles in 44.46.
The Panthers placed fifth out of six teams. Lewiston won the event.
Gage Ruano took third in two events, the discus (104′) and javelin (113’10”). Zidane McMurrin was fourth in the high jump (5’4″) and fifthh in the triple jump (35’2″). Daniel Bubar took fourth in the 3200 in 11:26. Nick York was fourth in the shot put (37’2″). Kenneth Pruyne was fifth in the 110 hurdles in 19.37. Cameron Leach took sixth in the javelin (106’10”). Andrew Cronk took sixth in two events, the 100 in 12.46 and 200 in 25.32. JP Lobley was 8th in the triple jump (30’6″).
Girls results
Medomak girls placed fifth out of five teams in the Brunswick meet won by Class A Lewiston. The Lady Panthers 4×100 relay placed third in 56.12 with Lexi Genthner, Nicole Nichols, Ashlee Wilson, and Alaina Bisset. The 4×800 relay took fifth in 13:17.99 with Abby Griffin, Rayanne Leach, Acadia Calderwood, and Jill van der Schaff.
Nicole Nichols placed third in the high jump (4’8″) and van der Schaff fourth (4’6″). Van der Schaff was eighth in the 1600 in 6:59, and sixth in the javelin (68’11.5″). Bisset took sixth in the 100 in 1:08. Ashlee Wilson placed sixth in the long jump (14′). Emily Leary placed sixth in the shot put (25’6″) and Sarah Harvey was seventh (25’6″).
