Lincoln Academy senior Jordan Friedland, of Nobleboro, won his second straight Maine State Tennis championship on May 29 in Portland.
Friedland defeated Falmouth junior Brendan McCarthy 6-3, 6-0 to win the 2013 championship. The two players had not faced each other before. “They were not familiar with each other’s style, which probably favored Jordan,” coach Michael Blake said.
