A scrappy Gardiner girls basketball team defended their home court for a 53-44 win over Medomak Valley during their KVAC opener on Dec. 7. The Lady Panthers jumped out to a 4-0 lead early, before the Tigers rallied for a 16-9 lead at the quarter break. Medomak pulled within four in the second period and within five in the fourth, before Bailey Poore helped Gardiner pull away in the fourth.
