Gardiner softball defeated Medomak Valley 8-4 Thursday in Gardiner in an East Class B playoff game. Gardiner jumped out to a 4-0 lead. The Panthers rallied to tie the game in the top of the fifth. Gardiner plated four runs in the bottom of the fifth to win.
