Lincoln Academy boys cross country team ran away from the competition in their KVAC opening meet on Sept. 6 at Maranacook. The Eagles scored 24 points to take first out of a field of eight teams.
Jarrett Gulden led the pack, winning in 17:15. Lincoln placed five scoring runners in the top 11. Rounding out the pack were 3. Jojo Martin, 17:42; 5. Cameron Nelson, 18:16; 8. Sullivan Anderson, 18:54; and 11. Braxton Farrin, 19:10.
In girls cross country action, Lady Eagle Ashly Campbell placed third in 23:19.
