Chase Huges, 19, of Westport Island, won the 10th annual Westport Island Shore Run 10K on Sunday in a time of 40:53. Megan Hempstead was the first female finisher and placed eighth overall in 51:11.

Nearly 50 participants, including 35 runners, came out to support the Westport Island Volunteer Fire Department.
