Visiting Islesboro defeated Wiscasset 50-11 in the Wolverines’ den on Friday, Dec. 22. The Eagles soared to a 12-0 first quarter lead. The stands erupted in large applause and cheers when Wiscasset lit up the boards on a hoop from Jordan Velez-Saylor 37 seconds in to the second frame.
Velez-Saylor led Wiscasset with 4 points (6R), Michelle Farrin added 3, and Jessie Rhinebolt (4R) and Makayla Bush 2 each. Olivia Marshall had seven rebounds, two steals, and two assists.
Scoring for the Eagles were Alma Bewsher 18, Sammy Conover 11, River Burns 9, Rosie Brimley 5, Isa Brimley 4, Ellura Ward 2, and Abby Leach 1.
