The game saw 40 fouls called, with four Jefferson players fouling out, and two from Lincolnville, plus two had four fouls. Jefferson was tagged with 24 fouls and Lincolnville 16 in the emotional game that saw fans ejected early in the 1st quarter after a Jefferson player was called for three fouls in the opening minutes of the 1st period.
Lincolnville led 11-4 at the quarter, 19-14 at the half, and 28-19 at the end of three, before Jefferson mounted their comeback in the 4th quarter, out scoring Lincolnville 15-6 to tie the score and force overtime. “Everyone came through in the last quarter,” Peaslee said.
Marissa White and Jordan Moore scored for the Chargers in overtime, but four other shots did not fall. Lincolnville’s Hanna Bobe, Marissa Libby and Carrie Milner scored 2 points each in OT to lead the Lynx to victory.
