The Eagles exploded for 25 points in the 2nd frame, while holding Leavitt to eight to take a comfortable 42-18 lead into the half. Lincoln led 59-22 at the end of three.

Lincoln led by as many as 20 points in the 3rd quarter. Gardiner went on a 13-4 run to cut the lead to 11 twice in the 4th quarter.

The Bears led 13-10 at the quarter, Lincoln led 28-25 at the half and 48-44 at the end of three.

Scoring for the Bears were Johnson 32, Jack Kennedy 13, Sam Poulin 13, David Clough 8, Eben Ballard 3 and Harry Lamphear 2.
