Fryeburg hit a walk-off single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to beat Lincoln Academy 3-2 in a South Class B quarter-final game on June 5. Payson Kaler took the loss for the Eagles.
LA scored both their runs in the fourth inning on singles to Emily Kelsey, Joy Hedrick, Kaler, Grace Houghton (RBI) and Lizzie Ober (RBI).
Lincoln Academy boys and girls lacrosse teams were eliminated from State Class C tournaments. The Lady Eagles lost to defending state champions Lake Region, and the boys lost to Freeport. Game details have not been reported to the LCN.
