Lincoln Academy’s Hannah Fake placed 13th at the West Class B Regional cross country championships in Cumberland on Saturday to qualify for the State Class B championships. The top 20 runners qualified for States. Fake finished the race in 21:39. Eagle teammate Tiega Martin placed 30th in 22:36, and Elizabeth Simonds 74th in 30:27.
Maranacook’s Abby Mace was crowned the West B champion in a time of 20:01. Cape Elizabeth won the team title with 56 points, followed by Yarmouth 89, Falmouth 91, Greely 111, York 136, Maranacook 151, Poland 182, Leavitt 194, Gray 215, Fryeburg 256, and Lake Region 267. Lincoln did not have enough runners to compile a team score.
The Eagles were led by Will Hadden, who placed 30th in 18:29. Nick Smelcer placed 46th in 18:59, Luca Keushguerian 55th in 19:33, Shawn Grooms 56th in 19:34, Julian Frik 61st in 19:55, Alex Tomasello 66th in 20:43, and Alex Hadik 75th in 21:18.
