Lincoln Academy swimmer Vanessa Albert medaled in two events at the State Class B championships, held Mon, Feb. 19 at Bowdoin College in Brunswick. Albert placed fifth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:13.49 and seventh in the 50 free in 26.52.
Albert also swam in two Lady Eagle relays that placed at States. Lincoln placed 11th in the 400 free relay in 4:47 with Phoebe Pugh, Amelia Rosko, Sammi Aho and Albert. They placed 13th in the 200 medley relay in 2:18 with Aho, Andrea Gutierrez, Albert and Maddy Archer; and 16th in the 200 free relay in 2:16 with Archer, Erin Dworkin, Rosko and Pugh.
Boothbay’s Evy Case placed 10th in the 200IM in 2:27. The Lady Seahawks placed in two relays, taking 15th in the 200 free in 2:11 with Emma Pearce, Maren Whitney, Ashley Ames and Evy Case swimming a leg, and 16th in the 200 medley relay in 2:34 with the same four swimmers.
Medomak Valley swimmer Emily Grinnell placed 12th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:17.
