Lincoln Academy girls tennis team improved to 7-0 with a 5-0 win over Oceanside on May 9. The Lady Eagles have shut out their opponents in all seven meets they have competed in this season.
Lincoln collectively out scored Oceanside 48-8 in the win. Caitlin Cass beat Gabby Simmons 6-0, 6-1 at first singles. Emily Harris swept Molly Davis 6-0, 6-0 at second singles. Fiona Liang out stroked Cassidy Boyndton 6-0, 6-1 at third singles. Sandra Thelander and Harmony Ingham beat Erin Dugan and Jasmine Bouchard 6-2, 6-2 at first doubles. Anastysia Oliver and Kate Peters beat Julia Bartlett and Molly Spencer 6-3, 6-0 at second doubles.
Two players will compete in the Region 3 State qualifier on Sat., May 12. Freshman Caitlin Cass in the number one seed in Region 3, and Emily Harris in the number five seed.
