Number one seed Lincoln Academy girls tennis team collected a 5-0 win over eighth seed Freeport in a South Class B quarter-final match May 30 in the Eagles nest. Caitlin Cass swept Maya Dowling-Wolfe 6-0, 6-0 at first singles. Fiona Liang defeated Charlotte Soule 6-2, 6-0 at second singles. Emily Harris shut out Ayanna Hatten 6-0 6-0 at third singles. Harmony Ingham and Sandra Thelander teamed up to beat Rebecca Pierce and Grace Abbott 6-0, 6-2 at first doubles. Anastasiya Oliver and Kate Peters out stroked Emily Perilla and Carolina Cadorette 6-0, 6-1 at second doubles.
Lincoln will take on #4 seed York on Sat., June 1 at 11 a.m. in Newcastle.
