Lincoln Academy girls tennis team swept Gardiner in the South Class B semi-finals on June 2 in the Eagles nest. The Lady Eagles will take on Cape Elizabeth in the Regional finals at Bates College at 9 a.m. on Thursday June 7.
Caitlin Cass defeated Kiara Goggin 6-1, 6-0 at first singles, Emily Harris topped Lexi Nestor 6-1, 6-0 at second singles. Fiona Liang swept Tiffany Chadbourne 6-0, 6-0 at third singles. Sandra Thelander and May Halm teamed up to beat Lindsey Bell and Lexi Pinkham in three sets, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 at first doubles. Kate Peters and Harmony Ingham beat Emily Peacock and Hannah Foust 6-1, 6-2 at second singles.
